Produced in the area of “Mosfilies”, on a slope of clay rich, sandy and limestone based soils. The vines are 12 years old and the harvest takes place in the end of September. Following fermentation, the wine matures in French oak for twelve months and it is bottled unfiltered to preserve its complexity.

Ambelisimo Noir blended with Maratheftiko does get certain benefits in body, colour and aroma. Red fruits play the dominant role; they just explode from the glass. Red currant, cherry, raspberry, and blackberry with forest freshness, and secondary notes of cocoa powder. Subtle and seamless tannins are not heavy on the palate. Expressive fruit on the palate with more red plums and dark berry flavours, this wine is medium bodied. Freshness and acidity follow you to the finish. Pairing with food, this is an ideal wine for buffet as it can satisfy most of the varied flavours, fish, meat, and poultry. Charcuterie and grilled sausages, pepperoni pizza or chicken enchiladas, pork souvlaki, or pork and beef donner kebab as well as BBQ meat.
Medium Sweet – Lefkada Grape – Lambouri Winery
Inky dark purple colour. Youthful aromas with spicy notes of liquorice, crème de cassis and prune. The palate has a slight sweetness but balanced by a fresh acidity, ripe tannin, peppery and spicy notes with a rather long finish.
